!! In the 19th century, pigeon was an English delicacy. A cook had to remove all the bullets from the pigeon or risk cracking someone's tooth. Trapping pigeons was a better alternative. Trappers would tie a pigeon to a stool to sit upon. When a wild pigeon saw the tied-up pigeon, it would fly down near it, and it often got trapped. The wild pigeon was literally betrayed by the stool pigeon.
