Cut of One's Jib——行事作風

    !! The jib or jib sail is a large triangular foresail of a ship, stretching forward from top and bottom of the foremast to the forward part of the deck or the bowsprit.

    三角帆是船的大型三角形前帆，從前桅的頂部和底部向前延伸到甲板或船首斜桅的前部。

    !! Each nation had its own recognizable way of cutting and rigging the jib. A pirate ship would have a different cut of its jib. If a skipper didn't like the cut of the jib, he would change course to avoid the pirate ship.
